With their first major bowl victory in 50 years and the highest final national ranking in 50+ years the Iowa Hawkeyes emerged victorious in the 2010 Orange Bowl closing the book on a historic 2009 season and turning their focus on to another successful season in 2010….. Based on who's coming back, the Hawkeyes will likely start 2010 in the same rarified air. The Hawkeyes defense put the explosive Yellow Jackets on their heels early, and their offense put up 24 point as the Hawkeyes beat the Yellow Jackets 24-14. With Georgia Tech's defense tiring late in the fourth quarter, Iowa delivered the knockout blow on a 32-yard TD run by Brandon Wegher and matched the school record with 11 wins.
Each football is embossed with the official Orange Bowl Logo, final score, date and location of the game…..all complimenting the logo of the 2010 Orange Bowl Champion Iowa Hawkeyes. The football will also contain the entire season schedule and scores of each of the games. In addition the “Limited Edition of 1,000” will be embossed on the front and each football is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
