| Cal Ripken, Jr. Ironman Baseball Cal Ripken, Jr. has become a baseball legend. During his career, Cal Ripken totaled 3,184 hits, 431 home runs, and on September 6, 1995 broke Lou Gehrig’s career record for the most consecutive games played in MLB history at 2,131. To honor this feat Rawlings manufactured a commemorative baseball specifically for use in the games in which Ripken tied and broke Lou Gehrig's record. Each baseball is accompanied by an MLB display case. |
