Utah caps Perfect Season with Sugar Bowl Shocker
The Utes proved that they belong in a BCS Bowl Game…..but were they in the right one??? Brian Johnson and 7th ranked Utah came down from the mountains to SEC country and established themselves as the best of the BCS busters, finishing perfect at 13-0, with a convincing 31-17 win over 4th ranked Alabama in the Sugar Bowl on Friday night. Brian Johnson threw for 336 yards and three touchdowns finishing his career at Utah as their winningest quarterback (26-7) and was selected the game's most outstanding player. The Utes are the only team in the AP Top 25 that remains unbeaten. "What else do we have to prove?" Johnson said. "Without question, we're one of best, if not the best team in the country."
To commemorate the Perfect Season & Sugar Bowl victory, Wilson Sporting Goods, the official supplier to the NCAA, is producing a licensed authentic and official NCAA Signature Series Football exclusively for USA Sports Marketing. The football has three white panels and the Wilson Leather Logo panel as shown above. Two of the white panels will contain the licensed and approved graphics as shown.
Each football is embossed with the official Sugar Bowl 75th Anniversary Logo, final score, date and location of the game....all complimenting the logo of the 2009 Sugar Bowl Champion Utah Utes. The football will also contain the season schedule and scores of each of the perfect season games.
